Work
Glynis specialises in acting for owner-managed and family-run businesses covering a wide variety of industries. Glynis was born and brought up in Cumbria but moved to Buckinghamshire in her teens, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1976. On returning to Cumbria in 1978, she joined Armstrong Watson in Whitehaven and moved to Kendal on becoming a Partner in 1989. Glynis returned to Whitehaven in 1999 with responsibility for the Whitehaven and Millom offices, providing a full range of accounts, tax and business advisory services to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies throughout West Cumbria.
Play
Outside work, Glynis sings with a local choral group and is a member of the Whitehaven Castle Rotary Club. She enjoys listening to all types of music, playing the piano (although very infrequently and very badly these days), going to the theatre and meeting up with friends.
