Mhairi has specialised in tax for most of her twenty-year career in accountancy and has dealt with a wide range of clients, from stock exchange listed PLCs through to owner-managed businesses, mutual companies and property development businesses. Mhairi, a Partner since 2002, has extensive experience in corporate acquisitions and disposals and the tax problems experienced by companies such as stamp duty, SDLT and capital gains. She also has comprehensive expertise in dealing with employer tax issues such as PAYE and NIC reviews, remuneration planning and employee share incentive schemes.

Mhairi spends a large part of her free time looking after her husband and two young boys. She enjoys gardening, making children’s costumes for school plays and decorating cakes.
