Carrs Billington Agriculture (Sales) Limited has acquired Skipton based company, Laycocks Agricultural Chemists for an undisclosed sum.
Laycocks Agricultural Chemists has been established for over 180 years and sells agricultural pharmaceuticals. Their range of products includes healthcare products for sheep, cattle, pigs, horses and pets, as well as ancillary livestock equipment, minerals and feed supplements. The acquisition has added a well established agricultural business with a high level of repeat business and customer accounts to the Carrs portfolio. Carrs Billington Agriculture (Sales) Limited supplies farming and rural communities with a comprehensive range of agricultural products and services across Northern England, Scotland, Wales and the Midlands.
Laycocks Agricultural Chemists was advised by their accountants and financial advisers, Armstrong Watson, who helped negotiate and complete the deal.
In addition to Armstrong Watson, Laycocks Agricultural Chemists were also advised by Asad Ali and Glen Salt, Partners at Blacks Solicitors LLP who have two offices based in Leeds.
