Three Armstrong Watson employees David Graham, Rea Maxwell and Steven Metcalf have all received great news with their exam results this week.

David Graham from our Carlisle office received ‘The Victor Durkacz Medal’ for the candidate with the highest mark overall in the Advisory Paper on VAT on UK Domestic Transactions, IPT & SDLT. David has been invited to receive his medal at the Chartered Institute of Taxation Admission Ceremony on Thursday, 30th October at Drapers Hall in London.

Rea Maxwell from our Dumfries office was also awarded a distinction at the May exam sitting of the Association of Taxation Technicians exams for her exceptional performance in the Personal Tax paper.

Both David and Rea will continue with their next exams to complete their qualifications.

Steven Metcalf has passed his final CTA exam and becomes a Chartered Tax Adviser.  The exams are the final formal step in a long learning process and Steven has now attained the UK’s premier tax qualification.

Graham Poles, Tax Partner commented “I am delighted for David, Rea and Steven on their exam success, which is wonderful news for both them and the firm.  They have all worked incredibly hard to achieve these tremendous results.  We have a comprehensive training programme to support our students through their study and beyond.”
