'It is a real pleasure to see three extremely strong candidates come through to be promoted to Partner. All three have been through the firms Academy programme which develops the skills in individuals we see that have the potential to go on to achieve great things with their careers. I have every confidence in all three to help Armstrong Watson continue to be a successful business providing innovative solutions to our clients.
Joanna, joined us from UNW in Newcastle, relocating her family to Darlington to work as part of the leadership team in our Northallerton office. Along with Peter Molyneux, Joanna has transformed Armstrong Watson in Northallerton so that we are seen as one of the leading firms in North Yorkshire. Joanna was key to the successful merger of a smaller practice in to our North Yorkshire office last year. Joanna is full of enthusiasm and will continue to be a real asset to our business.
Richard Askew has been with Armstrong Watson for nine years after joining us from Gibbons & Co in Workington. Richard worked in our Carlisle and Penrith offices. A few years ago we decided that we needed to strengthen our profile and position within West Cumbria, so asked Richard to head up our new office in Workington. Richard has led the team in West Cumbria and has grown Armstrong Watson in West Cumbria. This promotion is recognition of Richard's hard work and success in making Armstrong Waton a successful practice in West Cumbria.
Richard Andrew, joined Armstrong Watson when we took over Tenon in Kendal, merging their practice in to our Kendal office. Richard has been a shining star since day one working very closely with Richard Rankin and David Threlkeld. Richard takes over on the 1 April as the lead partner in Kendal. I and the rest of our executive team have every confidence in Richard and his ability to lead the Kendal office to continue to grow and to serve the business community in Kendal and South Lakes.'
The promotions reflect Armstrong Watson's commitment to supporting clients to the highest standard, strengthening the team and continually seeking to improve the services and support available.
