Your Questions
How do I become an Armstrong Watson Business Services client?
That’s easy. All we ask is that you contact us. We will then arrange a FREE initial meeting to discuss your needs. We have 15 offices throughout Cumbria, the North East, south west Scotland and Yorkshire, but if one of these locations is not convenient, we will visit you. We’ll contact your previous accountant on your behalf and deal with the change-over details.
Who will I be dealing with at Armstrong Watson?
From the outset you will be appointed a contact at Armstrong Watson. This will be the person who we think is best suited to your business and your needs. This contact will remain the same year-on-year so that a strong relationship can be forged, allowing us to really get to know your business intimately.
As a start-up business, should I trade as a limited company or sole trader?
There are many factors to consider when deciding on the ways in which to trade:
- Taxation
- Future expectations of the business
- Limited liability status
- Remuneration required on an on-going basis
- Costs associated with your chosen method of trading
- Regulatory requirements of your chosen method of trading
This decision is very complex and if you get it wrong it could potentially be very expensive. We can discuss the options with you including an alternative to full incorporation. We’ll tailor our advice for your individual circumstances, and ensure all factors are considered to ensure that you start your business correctly.
