Award winning tax specialist, Emily Duffy, has moved from Armstrong Watson’s Skipton office to join its tax team in Leeds.
Emily has recently been awarded the first ever Chartered Tax Association (“CTA”) Leeds branch prize award for her success in the CTA exams in May 2012.
Only a handful of Chartered Institute of Tax (“CIOT”) branches are able to award a CTA prize and the Leeds branch has only been able to do so from the May 2012 exams. The prize is awarded to the student in the branch with the best performance achieving an average of not less than 60% overall.
Previously, Emily achieved two distinctions in her final two Association of Tax Technicians (“ATT”) papers in May 2011 and the Collingwood medal for the highest score in the country for the Business Compliance paper.
Emily says’ “I am delighted to be joining Armstrong Watson’s tax team in Leeds, having spent almost four years at its Skipton office. I’m looking forward to meeting with and advising our Leeds clients.”
Steve Roberts, Tax Director at Armstrong Watson, says, “Emily has put a lot of hard work and effort in to achieve these outstanding results and this has been rewarded with the recognition she has received nationally and in Leeds. We are extremely proud of Emily and delighted that she is joining our Leeds tax team.”
