Armstrong Watson are celebrating four years as a Xero Platinum Partner and the first anniversary of their making business digital client conversion project.

The firm was one of the first in the UK to be awarded Xero Platinum Partnership after recognising back in 2010 the potential range benefits cloud accounting could deliver to both its clients and to Armstrong Watson who wanted to become the largest cloud accountant in the UK.

Last spring, Armstrong Watson made the bold move to embark on a mass education programme in association with Xero, training in excess of 200 colleagues in preparation for HMRC’s forthcoming ‘Making VAT Digital’ roll out and migrating thousands of client records in readiness for the new legislation due to come into force in April 2019.

Following the successful digital migration and fundamental change to client record processing, Armstrong Watson confirmed their position as Xero’s largest accounting partner and were awarded the accolade of the Xero accounting software provider’s ‘UK Accounting Partner of the Year’ at the Xerocon International Conference in London.

Recognised as one of the UK’s most digitally progressive accounting and advisory firms, Armstrong Watson’s Digital Business Team is well placed to assist business owners as they go through the digital transition, ensuring they are ready to comply with ‘Making VAT Digital’ and the requirements it brings.

The Digital Team supports clients as they utilise the many opportunities making your business digital can bring, some of which include; online bookkeeping, VAT returns, tax returns, payroll services and management accounting, alongside integration with other digital business apps such as creditor/debtor tracking, inventory, ecommerce and banking.
