Accountancy firm Armstrong Watson is extremely proud to announce that four of its accountancy trainee students have successfully secured a place in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Apprentice Business Challenge 2013 National Final, following a regional heat In Leeds last month.
Katie Paisley (Carlisle) , Stephanie Kealey (Leeds), Laura Watson (Carlisle) and Whitney Savage (Penrith) and their teams will be heading down to London next month for the final In this prestigious competition. Katie was in the top performing team at the Leeds event and Stephanie was awarded the top performing apprentice award at Leeds.
The National Final will take place at PwC’s More London offices on Friday 19 July 2013.
Katie, Stephanie, Laura and Whitney’s teams will be competing against two other teams for WorldSkills gold, silver and bronze medals. An overall Top Performing Apprentice will also be selected and the winning team and runners-up will be invited to a dedicated Winners Day at Chartered Accountants Hall on 20 September.

The Apprentice Business Challenge 2013 is a new national business skills competition for apprentices on the Accountancy, Project Management or Professional Services Higher Apprenticeship programmes.
This national competition is based around an interactive business game designed to test the knowledge, skills and creativity of apprentices, and their approach to working as part of a team on a real business issue, and celebrates the best upcoming talent in the Accountancy Sector.
