Armstrong Watson named in Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work for second year in a row
Armstrong Watson is proud to announce that the firm has once again been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, marking the second consecutive year the business has received this prestigious recognition.
The nationwide workplace survey, run in partnership with employee experience platform WorkL, celebrates the UK’s top employers across a wide range of sectors and sizes, recognising organisations that excel in employee engagement, wellbeing and workplace culture.
With more than 800 team members across its offices across the North of England and Scotland, Armstrong Watson’s inclusion in this year’s Best Big Places to Work list builds on its continued commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive and high-performing working environment.
It follows further national recognition, having also ranked among The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in 2025, highlighting the firm’s ongoing investment in training the next generation of professionals and upskilling its workforce.
Paul Dickson, Armstrong Watson’s Chief Executive and Managing Partner, said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised for a second year as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work. Achievements like this are particularly meaningful because they reflect the views and experiences of our people.
“Our ambition remains to be the best accounting and financial advisory firm to deal with in the UK, delivering an outstanding client experience. We know that this can only be achieved by creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.
“These accolades demonstrate our long-term commitment to investing in our people at every stage of their careers – from those just starting out, through to experienced professionals continuing to grow with us.”
Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, said: “In an evolving world of work, Britain’s leading employers are helping staff forge careers that count today – and in the future. In turn, the Best Places to Work have the resilience to weather the current economic storms baked in, thanks to engaged workers who go above and beyond with a smile. Our winning employers span sizes and sectors – from tiny charities and specialist law firms, to multinational fast-food chains and utility giants, and everywhere in between. The thread joining them is the belief that a happy workforce is a stepping stone to better performance, faster growth, and bigger profits. More than that, there’s a collective instinct that a contented rank-and-file is a worthwhile business goal in and of itself.”
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work survey features 567 organisations across four categories, with 126 included in the Best Big Places to Work. It measures engagement across key areas, including reward and recognition, wellbeing, empowerment, pride, information sharing and job satisfaction. The results are based on direct feedback from employees, providing an independent and robust benchmark of workplace culture.
