Steel Girders

Case Study: Project Arthur

Armstrong Watson were contacted by the directors when they became worried that they were likely to encounter cashflow difficulties due to various contracts being delayed. They were concerned that the delay in collecting in cash would have a detrimental impact on their business.

The company had prepared cashflow forecasts to understand where their cash pinch points would likely arise. We met with management to get an understanding of their business, following which we were able to review the cashflow forecasts and highlight any potential issues both on a short term and a more longer term basis.

In addition to the review of the business, we were instructed to provide advice on the options available to the directors. The options available were set out, together with the potential benefits and also the main risks for each.

Once the options review was concluded, we were able to provide our recommendations to the directors in respect of further steps to take. Based on our work, the company were able to take our suggestions on board and are still continuing to trade.
