Tax investigations: Assisting other professionals

Over the last few years we have been developing our tax enquiry team and this year we have been nominated for the Best Tax Investigations Team at the Taxation Awards (Winner to be announced on the 19th May). We have been asked by a number of other professional to assist them with problems they have had with contentious enquiries and our assistance has included advising on ADR and assisting you to prepare for the negotiation or taking cases to ADR on their behalf.

In relation to First Tier Tribunal cases we have assisted other professionals in preparing for the tribunal or we have taken such cases forward for other advisers.

We have extensive experience of enquiries under the Contractual Disclosure Facility and have either helped accountants with the process or been used to prepare the client for their meeting with HMRC.

Sometimes it can be useful to simply have someone independent to review your case and add a different perspective and provide ideas on how it can be brought to a conclusion.
