A 10 strong team from Armstrong Watson’s Skipton office took part in the recent Keighley 10K and between them raised a whopping £1,340 for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.  It's the first time the accountancy firm has put together a team to take part in the Keighley event and all managed to complete the course in impressive sub 1 hour and 5 min times.

The Skipton team were very keen to support the Manorlands Hospice and the crucial care that the local charity provides to individuals and their families facing life changing illnesses. Spurred on by this year’s success, the participants have vowed to compete in next year’s race and have all signed up for the Santa £5K Fun Run in November in aid of the charity too.

Head of the running team, Rhys Davies, Armstrong Watson Audit and Assurance Manager said,

“It was fantastic to take part in an event supporting such a vital local cause. We’re extremely grateful to all those who sponsored us, including Armstrong Watson who added £250 to take the total raised to £1,340. We all appreciate how important Manorlands is to the area and it is a charity very close to our hearts.”
