About the Armstrong Watson VAT Health Check
Our VAT Health Checks are performed at your premises by Steve Ferrie. Steve joined the VAT team at Armstrong Watson in 2017 following 39 years of service with HMRC, primarily as a VAT inspector, but also more recently as a trainer to new HMRC VAT officers.
The health check will always begin with some time being spent discussing your business, identifying any areas that should be focused on and answering any queries you may have. This will be followed by a review of the VAT workings and the system currently being used.
Steve’s past career allows him to review your position through the eyes of HMRC, identifying the areas that HMRC would look to target as part of a VAT inspection and therefore identifying any issues that may exist and allowing you to get these resolved as efficiently as possible.
Steve is also keen to work with businesses as part of this review to ensure that the best possible position will be achieved and will review the findings to identify opportunities to improve your position.
Following the completion of the health check, you will be provided with a bullet pointed report, showing any opportunities or concerns that have been identified.
