Legal Sector Breakfast Briefing - Newcastle

As with our previous events, invites are restricted to key decision makers within key regional firms.  Our intention is to hold these events for a select group of no more than 20 regular attendees.  That way we can attract high quality nationally recognised speakers to present on law firm management issues.

Leadership & Management in a Law Firm of the Future
Digital technologies are having a radical effect on the way legal services are delivered in the same way that they are changing the way we live our lives. How do leaders make the most of opportunities and mitigate risks in a digital era? PwC ‘s 2017 Legal Survey describes an imperative for change in the way law firms work, “fundamental action is needed to future-proof the shape and operation of the firm.” What does this look like in practice? No one has a blue-print, but we do know that businesses need to be well led and managed in order to create opportunities and be agile enough to capitalise on the possibilities. In a digital era, human skills will be at a premium.

Outline points:

1.    Creating relationships - leadership behaviours, skills & attitudes to survive in an era of change
2.    Manage as a facilitator – letting go and enabling others
3.    Re-setting expectation for everyone “As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew” Abraham Lincoln
