New Off-Payroll working rules, commonly known as IR35, are due to come into force in a matter of weeks for the private sector after a 12 month delay due to the COVID-19 crisis.
This change to employment rules mean businesses could need to pay 13.8% more tax for skilled workers previously paid through their own limited companies.
Determining who falls within the IR35 ruling is not straight forward and businesses who hire contractors or freelancers are now needing to urgently prepare for the changes to avoid disruption. With the policy taking effect from 6th April, 2021 this will mean some huge decisions need to be made for a large number of businesses.
To help you navigate through this minefield we will be hosting a free webinar with Tax Consultancy Partner, Graham Poles, Head of Payroll, Karen Thomson and Tax Director, Keith Johnston. Joanne Stronach, Head of Employment Law, Cartmell Shepherd will complete the panel and provide guidance on the legal ramifications and obligations of IR35.
Whether you’re a contractor, consultant, freelancer or represent an organisation that uses them, you will have an opportunity to ask the panel questions as well as receive follow-up guidance directly after the webinar.
