Charmaine is a VAT & Indirect Tax Senior Manager with more than 13 years’ experience in VAT and indirect taxes.
Starting her VAT career with HMRC in 2013 and working latterly as a Large Business VAT Specialist, Charmaine advised businesses across a range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, retail, energy, construction, and land and property, helping them navigate complex VAT issues and compliance requirements.
In 2023, Charmaine moved into professional services, where she advises a diverse portfolio of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large multinational groups. She provides practical, commercially focused VAT advice across a broad range of technical and operational matters, helping clients manage risk and meet their obligations with confidence.
Passionate about resolving VAT challenges, Charmaine takes the time to understand each client's business, operations and objectives, delivering clear and pragmatic solutions tailored to their needs. Her goal is to help businesses achieve certainty in their VAT position while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance.
