New CEO announced at Armstrong Watson’s sister company Future Money
Armstrong Watson has announced the appointment of Richard Cole as Chief Executive Officer of sister investment company, Future Money, strengthening its integrated financial planning and fund management proposition.
A Chartered Financial Analyst and experienced Fund Manager, Richard has been instrumental in shaping Future Money’s four diversified multi-asset portfolios since joining the business in 2013. His expertise spans global asset allocation, macro-economic strategy and fund selection, alongside building strong relationships with advisers and clients.
Future Money’s multi-manager portfolios are designed as “one-stop” investment solutions, blending funds managed by a range of leading investment managers. The approach supports financial planning by providing diversified, actively managed portfolios, allowing advisers to focus more time on client outcomes – a capability that sets Armstrong Watson apart from its competitors.
Commenting on his new role, Richard said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be joining the board of Future Money as Chief Executive Officer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help drive the business forward, and my focus will be on ensuring our multi-manager investment portfolios and the full proposition are always positioned in the very best place for our clients. I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead for the team and our clients.”
Paul Dickson, Chief Executive & Managing Partner at Armstrong Watson, added: “I am delighted to congratulate Richard on his promotion to CEO of Future Money. As Lead Fund Manager, he has been at the heart of our investment proposition for a number of years and his depth of investment expertise and understanding of our business and our clients make him the ideal person to lead the next phase of Future Money’s development.
“Our in-house fund management capability is a key strength of Armstrong Watson, enabling us to deliver a truly joined-up service for clients. Richard’s leadership will ensure we continue to develop and enhance this proposition for the future.”
As part of its continued investment in Future Money, Armstrong Watson has also strengthened the team with the appointment of a Fund Manager’s Assistant to support portfolio management, research and client reporting capabilities.
Strong governance continuity remains in place, with Future Money’s existing Board structure largely unchanged and ongoing oversight of the fund range assured.
