About James
James qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2009, two years after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
Before joining Armstrong Watson in 2021, James was a Tax Director at Mazars LLP in Leeds, providing advice to privately owned businesses.
He has vast experience in dealing with family and owner-managed businesses, in particular balancing the interaction between the company and its shareholders and has broad experience of business tax with a particular focus on employee share schemes, corporate restructuring for succession planning and asset protection, R&D tax relief claims and property tax issues.
James prides himself on helping his clients look to the future and then guiding them on a path that will help them achieve their long term goals.
