James Walmesley

James has spent his entire career in accountancy practice, with more than 12 years’ experience working across a broad range of industries and businesses, from startups and owner-managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of large international groups.

Prior to joining Armstrong Watson, James spent eleven years working in central London, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. After relocating back to Cumbria in 2023 with his family, James joined Armstrong Watson’s Carlisle office as a senior manager in the accounting team.

James prides himself on his technical knowledge, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, helping clients with all of their accounting, taxation, and other financial needs.
