Armstrong Watson Intranet Wins International Award

Armstrong Watson Accountants, Business and Financial Advisers have been announced as winners of the Leadership category in the Jostle Awards 2017.

The awards recognise Jostle intranet users across the world who are using their intranet to improve employee engagement, workplace culture and communication.

Armstrong Watson have been using Jostle since June 2016 after seeking an internal communication system that would move away from the need to transfer information via email and increase interaction and engagement firm wide.

The Jostle system allows every member of the team access to the latest internal news, interesting articles and company updates. As well as an integral information source – with a library of over 250 documents – it also offers a social aspect, with an activity stream and twitter feed running alongside, bringing colleagues across the firm’s 16 office locations much closer together.

Commenting on the win, Paul Dickson CEO and Managing Partner said,

“The firm as a whole has a better understanding of what is going on and what direction we want to go in. Partly because Jostle centralises all this information into a single place and makes it easy to consume but also partly because the management team have increased the volume of their communications now they have a simple channel to use.”

Toby Woodhead, Solutions Architect, who, alongside Developer Allan Jardine, was responsible for the installation of the Jostle intranet system added,

“Prior to Jostle, the main way of communicating was via email, which meant that the type of information distributed and the number of distributers was limited. We now have a much superior internal communications system with around 90% engagement from users every week.”

This year’s Jostle Awards were extremely competitive, with 40 nominations from organisations world wide competing for awards.
