Following on from its recent launch of the MyPay E-Payslip service, Armstrong Watson has now launched an HR software service.

We have teamed up with BreatheHR and can offer a comprehensive HR software solution using cloud technology.  This allows employers to:

•    Create, store and retrieve employee information from anywhere
•    Enhance communication and save time with Employee Self Service
•    Manage absence, benefits, training, performance and disciplinary

E-Payslips and E-P60s have arrived.

Armstrong Watson is please to announce a new service it has added to its wide range of payroll and HR services.

Armstrong Watson’s Payroll Bureau can now offer a cost effective ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) on-line payslip solution. With the launch of the new Armstrong Watson MyPay service, employees of clients using its bureau services will have the option to access their payslips (including historical payslips and P60s) online through their own simple and secure log in details. 

Armstrong Watson awarded Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) Re-accreditation

Armstrong Watson is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) accreditation. The Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) is a quality accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) for organisations of all industry sectors who wish to achieve best practice in the development of their people’s payroll skills.
 

University Fees

Unless you’ve been out of the country for the last year or so, it has been impossible to miss the debate over university fees. From 2012 onwards English universities will be able to charge tuition fees of up to £9,000 per year. Of course, the maximum figure of £9,000 relates only to tuition fees; accommodation and living costs need to be factored in on top of this.

The environmental impact of business is high on the agenda here at Armstrong Watson and as part of the Future Vision project which focuses on minimising this impact, we recently replaced our old printers and copiers with much more energy efficient MFD's from Canon.  This fits in with our Future Vision which concentrates on the five areas where our business has the most environmental impact: transport, waste, paper, water and energy.

Emily Duffy gains highest score in the Country

Armstrong Watson is pleased to announce that Emily Duffy, based at its Skipton office, has successfully completed the Association of Taxation Technicians (“ATT”) examinations. Emily achieved two distinctions in her final two ATT papers and the Collingwood medal for the highest score in the country for the Business Compliance paper.

Corporate Partnership Structures for Farmers

Individuals within a farming partnership are taxed on their share of profit at 20% up to £42,475 and thereafter the tax rate jumps up to 40%, increasing to 50% for profits over £150,000. Conversely those businesses operating through a company will see their tax liability at 20% on the first £300,000 of profits.
