About Paul

Paul leads Armstrong Watson’s Indirect Tax practice and has more than 27 years’ experience in VAT and other indirect taxes.

His career started with HMRC, where he spent 16 years before moving into the accountancy profession and holding senior positions with BDO and RSM. Paul has advised a wide range of organisations, from fast-growing mid-market businesses to complex multinational groups on the full spectrum of indirect tax matters.

With extensive experience supporting businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions, he is particularly adept at helping clients navigate cross-border indirect tax risks, obligations and opportunities.

Paul invests time to truly understand each client’s business model, processes and challenges and works collaboratively to build efficient, scalable and compliant indirect tax functions.

Whether resolving international VAT complexities or designing tax-efficient supply chains, Paul’s goal is to ensure clients can operate confidently and compliantly, wherever they do business.
