Changes to the Leeds R&I team

Mike Kienlen

Head of Restructuring & Insolvency, Partner & Chairman

There have been a number of changes to the Leeds Restructuring and Insolvency team which I am pleased to share with you all.

First of all Ed Connell joined the team as Director in March. Ed has 15-years insolvency experience for Big 4 firms leading insolvency, advisory & contingency planning engagements across various sectors: including retail, real estate, manufacturing, and leisure. Over the last 8-years Ed has been Head of Finance/Financial Director for a couple of Yorkshire based SME companies operating in the property development/construction sectors. Ed will be getting his appointment taking license in coming months.

I am also pleased to share that Ann Probert has been promoted to senior manager. Ann joined the team in 2015 with a number of years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency. Ann qualified as a corporate insolvency practitioner in 2020 and will be looking to get her non-appointment licence shortly.

The team has also been expanded at a manager level with Paul Valentine joining us in November.

Paul joins from Begbies Traynor and has nearly 20 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency. Paul holds JIE qualifications in Personal Insolvency and Liquidations.

I am delighted to share that after leaving Armstrong Watson in 2015, Zoe Cleghorn has returned as a Senior. Zoe began her career in Insolvency in 2008 on a placement during the recession, but never ended up leaving!

Zoe has also worked in the invoice finance market, before going on to run her own business for a few years.
