Armstrong Watson is delighted to announce the appointment of Jacob Proudfoot to its Hexham office, where he joins the firm’s growing Financial Planning team.

Jacob has taken up his new role as a Financial Planning Consultant, at Millburn House in Hexham Business Park, after four years with national wealth management firm Fairstone, where his career began during his final year at university, and he progressed to a fully-qualified adviser.

A graduate of Northumbria University in Finance and Investment Management, with a strong foundation in delivering tailored financial advice, Jacob holds a Diploma with the Chartered Insurance Institute and is working towards Chartered Financial Planner status.

Jacob advises on all aspects of pensions, investments, retirement and protection planning. He is passionate about helping clients understand their finances and building long-term relationships based on clarity and confidence.

Commenting on his new role, Jacob said: “I’m excited to join Armstrong Watson and look forward to supporting clients in making confident, informed decisions about their finances.

“The firm’s commitment to providing clear, tailored advice really aligns with my approach. I’m passionate about helping individuals and business owners achieve their personal and financial goals.”

Kerry Chaloner, Regional Financial Planning Manager, added : “We are proud and excited to welcome Jacob to Armstrong Watson and look forward to the valuable contribution he will make to our Financial Planning Team in the region.”

Jacob’s appointment is one of four strategic hires in the financial planning team, with Financial Planning Consultants Thomas Edwards and Bianca Chibanda joining the business in Newcastle and Kendal, respectively, and the appointment of Alastair Pickard in Glasgow. It also comes after 12 new financial advisory colleagues joined the team in Glasgow when Armstrong Watson acquired Martin Aitken and Co earlier this year, strengthening the Armstrong Watson Financial Planning cohort to just under 70 colleagues across the business.
